The steel membrane structure project of Qinghai Chaka Salt Lake Skyland Distribution Center is located in Chaka Salt Lake, which is known as China's "Skyland". The main building of the project consists of a hyperbolic dome and 6 corridors. The steel structure spans 35 meters, the total area of the steel membrane is 28,000 square meters, and the steel structure uses 1,100 tons of steel. The interior space of the building is bright and transparent. From a distance, it looks like a crystal of salt lake in the desert smoke, and from a close look, it seems to be in a romantic room in the salt lake.
At the construction site of the steel structure project for the Wanhao workers in the Qinghai Chaka Salt Lake Sky Wanhao Collection Center, workers are busy with the installation of the steel components. The site is well-organized despite the challenging high-altitude environment. Safety measures are strictly enforced to ensure smooth progress.
Steel structures are widely used in modern construction due to their numerous advantages. They are known for their high strength-to-weight ratio, which means they can support significant loads while using less material. This makes them ideal for large-span buildings and high-rise structures. Additionally, steel structures are highly durable and resistant to natural disasters like earthquakes and hurricanes.
The construction process of steel structures is relatively fast and efficient. Components like beams and columns are typically prefabricated in factories and then assembled on-site. This not only ensures high-quality standards but also reduces construction time and labor costs. Moreover, steel structures are fully recyclable, making them an environmentally friendly choice.
