Chang'an Future Commercial Center is located in Haiyan, Jiaxing, which is known as the "land of fish and rice, silk capital, state of etiquette, and tourist destination". It dominates the "one hour transportation circle" of Hangzhou Bay, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Jiangsu, occupying the core area of Haiyan CBD and gathering dense living circles, filling the commercial gap in the northern new city and activating the vitality of Haiyan's youth.
The creative concept of the commercial street canopy in Chang'an, Jiaxing is based on the "honeycomb" as the living space, giving people a sense of illusion, agility, and variability. In order to embody this concept, the designer deepened the concept of honeycomb, not only using the variability of space steel structures as a base to form irregular polygonal frames of various sizes, but also utilizing its unique structural characteristics. Through the covering of ETFE transparent air cushion film, the building is endowed with a fuller appearance, giving it a unique visual effect and feeling. The contour and appearance become soft, and the charm of the sky is perfectly reflected.
ETFE air pillows are lightweight, yet incredibly strong. They can withstand harsh weather conditions, from heavy snow loads to strong winds. Their transparency is another key advantage. Similar to glass, they allow an abundance of natural light to penetrate, creating bright and inviting indoor spaces.
