Pingyang Sports Center PTFE Membrane Structure

The Pingyang Sports Center is designed as a medium-sized stadium with a capacity of 15,000 seats, classified as Grade B. The total construction area is 49,610 square meters. The steel structure weighs approximately 3,800 tons, while the PTFE membrane structure covers an area of about 25,000 square meters. The steel columns in the stadium’s structure feature box-shaped welded cross-sections. The roof consists of 19 different types of cantilevered steel truss structures, with all joints being constructed using intersecting welding techniques. The membrane covering the roof is made of PTFE, which enhances the stadium’s sense of space and dynamism. As a result, the sports center has become a prominent visual landmark in Pingyang.
