ETFE membrane roof for Chongqing Asian Cup Stadium

Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium is known as the "largest professional football stadium in China". It is a magnificent building covering an area of 303 acres and a total construction area of 170000 square meters. It is a sports feast that can accommodate 60000 people. The exterior design of this football field is inspired by a huge jade plate, which is covered with sparkling lights and emits a strong sense of technology, like a brilliant pearl. The construction of the football field indicates that there will be more exciting sports events held here in the future.

Wanhao undertook the construction of this project, and with the completion of the first hoisting of a steel structure column weighing 4.5 tons and measuring approximately 5.6 meters in length, the construction of the main structure of Longxing Football Stadium began smoothly. As of now, more than 600 pile foundations, 350 independent foundations, and over 1700 meters of strip foundations have been completed. It is expected that the basement construction will be completed.

Part of the roof materials used in the sports stadium project are imported high self-cleaning ETFE membrane materials. ETFE membrane materials, commonly known as "soft glass", have good transparency, light weight, and good self-cleaning properties. The secondary steel structure of the project uses 1170 tons, and the total unfolded area of ETFE membrane structures is 29500 square meters,

ETFE membrane structure not only has high mechanical strength, but also excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, and flame resistance. It hardly reacts with any chemicals, and even when directly exposed to sunlight or in the presence of rain or exhaust gas, it does not deteriorate or deform. Its lifespan can reach 25-30 years, maintaining the practicality of the building. Depending on the installation location, the ETFE film's light transmittance can reach up to 95%, providing natural lighting for the building while also bringing unique visual effects.
