Recently, the ETFE air-pillow membrane structure project of Shanghai Integrated Circuit Design Industrial Park has reached a key milestone, with construction entering the final stage. After completion of the canopy and connecting corridor areas, the core curtain wall facade project is nearing completion, and the park's new sci-tech innovation facade will soon be fully presented.

As a key park upgrading project, the ETFE air-pillow membrane structure project is divided into three complementary functional core areas. The completed canopy area, as the park's core lighting and landscape interface, creates a spacious transparent rooftop space. Completed connecting corridors linking various buildings have streamlined membrane structures optimizing pedestrian experience and forming continuous architectural visual lines. Currently only the facade curtain wall area remains unfinished, and the entire project is nearing completion.



As a new building facade material, ETFE air pillows have become the preferred material for modern landmark buildings for superior performance, unique texture, and balanced practicality and visual appeal.
Compared with traditional glass curtain walls, ETFE air pillows weigh only 1% of glass, reducing building structural load. They fit large-span and irregularly curved facade designs, are easy to construct and safer. The double-layer sealed air pillow forms an air insulation layer with good thermal and sound insulation, adapting to various climates. Besides, the membrane resists dust and aging, has good weather resistance and self-cleaning property, and reduces later maintenance costs.





After the project's full completion, the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Design Industrial Park will present a new high-quality image, become a new benchmark for Shanghai's sci-tech innovation parks, empower the integrated circuit industry's innovative development and improve its overall quality.
