Penglai Stadium membrane structure canopy completed, adding new landmark to Fairyland Coast.

Mountains and seas frame the city, Penglai Stadium membrane structure project has been completed. The 42,500-square-meter streamlined canopy stands aloft, echoing the Yellow Sea and scenic islands. This new landmark is now open to visitors.

As a key public welfare infrastructure project in Penglai, the 56,000-square-meter Penglai Stadium has attracted much attention since construction. Designed with the "floating island" concept inspired by Penglai fairyland and Yellow Sea waves, it abandons traditional rigid design, adopts smooth continuous curved surfaces, and looks like a dreamy floating island off the coast, blending natural scenery and modern architectural aesthetics.

The completed membrane structure canopy is the highlight of the stadium, a combination of technology and aesthetics. It uses high-quality double-layer PTFE membranes, with an upper layer area of 29,600 square meters and a lower layer area of 12,900 square meters. The large-span continuous curved roof stretches across multiple floors, with gentle dynamic lines that reproduce the tide's natural rhythm, endowing the building with dynamic vitality.

It has attractive appearance and excellent performance. PTFE membrane features high strength, aging resistance, self-cleaning ability, transparency, flame resistance and thermal insulation, suiting Penglai's windy and rainy coastal climate for long-term durability. Its high transparency allows enough natural light to cut daytime lighting costs, and the double-layer hollow structure provides thermal insulation for a comfortable environment, reflecting green and low-carbon construction concepts.

Every detail reflects fine craftsmanship. The venue's seating is divided into eight sections, corresponding to Penglai's traditional cultural element "Eight Immortals". Integrating local traditions into modern sports architecture gives the facility cultural significance. By day, the white canopy against sea and sky creates a bright scene; at dusk, the setting sun lights the curved dome, with shifting light that makes it a unique coastal sight.

From blueprint to completion, Penglai Stadium has upgraded the city's sports and recreational facilities, reflecting Penglai's improved quality of life. It will host sports events, fitness activities and cultural performances as a new public space for local residents, where you can visit with family and friends to experience its architectural beauty and sports spirit, and see Penglai's new look.
