The link aims to connect the largest shopping center in the southern hemisphere with the newly opened mgalley by Sofitel hotel in chatestown, Melbourne. This quiet sidewalk has replaced part of the multi-storey parking lot, providing people with a more convenient transportation environment and attractive chatestown, a fashionable city.
Inspired by the iconic vaulted glass roof of chardstone, the link is made of curved "glued wood" wood structures and translucent PTFE membrane structures that protect customers, visitors and tourists from the weather and connect people to the environment.
The simplicity of the material hides the complexity of the Italian larch wood diagonal structure, which essentially plays the role of harmonica. Although each element is supported by a hidden steel foundation, each element supports each other.
