138 delegates from different countries gathered to visit the Belgrade Exhibition Center in Serbia.

The project was contracted by China Power Construction and Millennium Team. CSCEC Steel Structure was in charge of the detailed design, manufacturing, and installation of the exhibition center's steel structure. Zhejiang Wanhao Group fabricated and installed the membrane structure and secondary steel components. So far, the steel structures of all exhibition halls are completed, and the installation of steel and membrane structures in the connecting corridors is going smoothly.

Representatives from various countries spoke highly of the project's progress and were eager for the 2027 World Expo. The Spanish representative said the venue construction shows high professionalism and is expected to be a global exhibition industry benchmark. The Cape Verdean representative saw the expo as a chance to boost African island nations' international profiles and promote mutual benefits. The Colombian representative hoped to use the Belgrade Exhibition Center to strengthen Latin - American and European cultural exchanges in sports and music, reflecting the expo's theme. The Japanese representative believed the completed exhibition center would be a new Belgrade landmark, bringing new vitality to the city and offering a high - quality, efficient venue for global exhibitions.

The Belgrade Exhibition Center project is located in the Surčin district, southwest of Serbia’s capital, Belgrade. It is one of the first six initiatives supported by China under the Belt and Road Initiative to foster a community with a shared future between China and Serbia in the new era. It will also serve as the main venue for the 2027 Belgrade World Professional Exposition. With a total construction area of approximately 172,000 square meters, the center will become one of the major exhibition facilities in Southeast Europe upon completion.

The 2027 Belgrade World Exposition for Professionals will be held from May 15 to August 15. With the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”, it'll be Southeast Europe's first international professional expo.

The international delegation said in interviews that things have changed a lot since last June. The Expo Village apartments are nearly done, and the exhibition hall is fully roofed.
