The main tower of Shengzhou Xiaoyu bridge, a rare steel tower with special-shaped structure in space in China, was successfully completed

On May 1, with a huge steel structure shaped like a hat and crown and up to 8.5 meters high accurately welded to the 91 meter high tower, it marked the successful completion of the main tower of Shengzhou Xiaoyi bridge, a rare domestic space special-shaped structural steel tower constructed by the second company of China Railway 18th bureau group, and the bridge entered the stage of cable installation.

Xiaoyu bridge is located in Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is an important infrastructure connecting Shengzhou Chengxi new area and Lihu area. The bridge is 614m long and 36m wide. The main bridge crosses chengtan River and adopts a single tower cable-stayed bridge structure. The total height of the cable tower is 99m, and the steel structure is 80m above the bridge deck, using about 8000 tons of steel. The double tower legs of the bridge are designed with pentagonal section, and the bottom is connected as a whole. They are vertically separated upward and then gathered in the middle to form a double Bergamot tower shape. The spatial cable surface is fan-shaped, and the shape is magnificent. It looks like a pagoda from a distance. After completion, it will become a new landmark building in Shengzhou City.

In order to ensure the construction quality of the steel tower, the unit plates of the main tower sections of the bridge are manufactured in the processing plant, which are accurately manufactured by the three-dimensional NC bending machine to ensure the accuracy of the special-shaped curved wall plate. The unit plate is fabricated in sections in the factory, and the jig frame is assembled and pre assembled. After the overall trial assembly is completed, it is transported to the site in sections and hoisted by stl1460c-64t boom tower crane.

"Because the weight of a single section steel tower is nearly 60 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of more than 50 cars, it is very difficult to put in place the installation accuracy and linear control. BIM modeling technology is introduced to carry out multiple simulation construction, and special personnel are arranged to monitor and control. Repeated monitoring is carried out before welding to ensure that the cable tower is installed vertically and the linear is beautiful." Kang Liang, the project manager, said.

It is reported that after the completion of xiaofuqiao project, it will play an important leading role in improving the regional comprehensive transportation system and regional development.
