Chongqing East Railway Station is full of regional elements and cultural characteristics

Recently, from the "Chongqing New Landmark City New Gateway" press conference held by the Municipal Government information Office, it was learned that the Chongqing East Railway Station hub is expected to be basically completed by the end of this year, and will be synchronously completed and put into use with the Chongqing-Hunan high-speed railway in 2025, at the same time, supporting municipal facilities will also be synchronously put into use.

Chongqing East Railway Station is the gateway and new landmark of Chongqing city, known as the new benchmark of modern railway comprehensive transportation hub. Located in the Jiangnan area of the eastern trough of the central city, Chongqing East Railway Station is one of the four main passenger stations in Chongqing, the interchange point of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, and the pilot project of "station and city integrated development" of the national transportation power. It is of great strategic significance for Chongqing to build a "M" shaped high-speed railway network, accelerate the construction of an international comprehensive transportation hub city and a demonstration area of a powerful transportation country.

It is reported that Chongqing East Railway Station, as a comprehensive transportation hub under construction in China, has a total construction area of 1,222,800 square meters and a total scale of 15 29 lines, which can reach Chengdu, Wanzhou, Qianjiang and Guiyang in 1 hour, Wuhan, Kunming and Changsha in 3 hours, and Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong in 6 hours after being put into use. After completion, it will boost the dual-cycle development strategy of the southwest region and create a new growth pole of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the "Belt and Road".

The roof system of Chongqing East Railway Station adopts the form of "pipe truss steel structure + oval skylight + tree support column +ETFE air pillow film" to fully extract the regional elements and cultural characteristics of Chongqing. The architectural model takes "mountains and rivers for thousands of miles and huangjutowering sky" as the idea, adopts the brushwork of Chinese landscape painting, and displays the tough and upright posture of Chongqing tree - Huangficus through six strong and powerful tree columns. At the same time, the curve of the roof belt is also the expression of the characteristics of Chongqing water, implying that the hub connects thousands of miles of mountains and rivers, and has broad access. The water droplet skylight of the sliding area roof is covered by ETFE (soft glass) air pillow film. It has good performance such as light transmission, heat insulation, corrosion resistance, weather resistance and self-cleaning, which adds wonderful to the design of the whole project. Comparing with "landscape Bayu", the skylight highlights the indomitable urban quality of the mountain city Chongqing and the indomitable fighting spirit of the children of Bayu.

At present, the hub image of Chongqing East Railway Station has emerged, the main structure and supporting towers have been completed in advance at the end of last year, is expected to be basically completed by the end of this year, and will be synchronously completed and put into use with the Chongqing-Hunan high-speed railway in 2025. The early completion of the project is expected to provide a strong driving force for Chongqing's economic and social development.
