As one of the nodes of the shelter station for cycling and the urban furniture service system, the structural system of the cycling station uses bamboo structure + membrane structure to reduce carbon emissions from the very beginning. Consider low-carbon green construction from the production and processing of main materials, material and equipment transportation, construction process and construction operations.
Facing the completed site, the building foundation of the riding station is intervened in the site in the way of minimal pavement on the ground, using 200mm I-beam as the foundation, and fixing it on the ground by 20mm anchor bolts. Abandoning the traditional need to pour concrete slabs on site as the foundation, reducing carbon emissions during construction and material production. The current site is a completed road, which also provides the possibility to realize a concrete-free foundation.
The construction process adopts high-efficiency prefabricated buildings, whose life cycle can reduce carbon emissions by more than 40%, which is an important technical path for the construction industry to achieve "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality". The construction process also has a good dust reduction effect, saving water, electricity and other energy sources, and at the same time realizing the original intention of building energy conservation and environmental protection.
We have been thinking about how to make the building adapt to the city that needs micro-renewal, and combine with the site with the lightest intervention under the constraints of site conditions. The riding station is prefabricated with bamboo structure as the main body, and the material utilization rate is improved through optimization of blanking and reuse of components.
The Second Ring Road of Lingang New Area, where the Starry Sky Park is located, will host road cycling events such as the Tour de France in the future. Because professional bicycles cannot be parked autonomously, the parking method of bicycles is adaptively combined with the structural system of the post station. Interspersed parking and hanging parking, the two parking methods can meet the parking needs of professional and recreational bicycles to the greatest extent, and have little impact on the structure of the station.
The spacing of the structural poles is set to adapt to the bicycle wheels, which can be easily inserted and parked, and children can easily park their bicycles in them, which can also meet the parking needs of nearby residents when there is no need for professional competitions.
The suspension bicycle parking method is suitable for holding professional road bicycle events. Professional bicycles cannot be parked independently and have low self-weight. They can be suspended on the crossbar to achieve a certain number of bicycle storage and parking. The suspension bar is rotated by a combination of bolts and powerful magnets, and can be stored when there are no events on weekdays.
In terms of the way of assembly, the architects overlapped and interlocked the materials, so that the load-bearing and maintenance systems of the bamboo structure are combined into one, and "weave" into a stable triangular structure, so that the diagonal bracing can be eliminated. Such a direct way of construction gives the building structure a visual certainty and unity.
The design of the cycling station starts from the needs of urban public space life, so as to provide a possibility of public communication while solving the demands of small and micro space in public life. It achieves a balance between artistry and practicality through the distinctive artistic image of its own space.
