This project is the first large-scale application of CFRP board cables in the actual project of a large-span stadium. It is an international initiative and has an important leading role and milestone significance for the promotion and application of CFRP materials in large-span space structure and even new structures.

The total construction area of Sanya Stadium is more than 88,000 square meters. The roof of the stadium is a spoke-type cable truss structure. The short axis of the plane projection is 224 meters, the long axis is 261.8 meters, the central opening is 134 meters short and the long axis is 171.8 meters. In order to improve the wind resistance of the structure, the roof structure is equipped with inner ring cross cables; in order to reduce the imbalance force caused by the inner ring cross cables to the lock clamp, the project innovatively applies CFRP parallel plate cables with a stronger modulus ratio much higher than ordinary steel cables. , The structural problem is perfectly solved with new materials and new components.

The maximum diameter of high vanadium enclosed cables used in the Sanya Stadium Project has reached 120mm, which is the largest diameter used in the construction of a comprehensive stadium in China. G10MnMoV6-3+ QT2 cast steel cable clamp is also the first time that it has been used in construction in China.
