The team of Zhejiang Wanhao Company spent several months conducting in-depth research on different building materials and their impacts on spatial effects and user experience. The entire building's facade and part of the roof will be covered with ETFE air pillow membranes, while the remaining parts will be covered with PTFE membranes, creating a transparent and modern architectural appearance.Eventually, they selected a solution that combines PTFE membranes, ETFE air pillow membranes, and high-performance steel.ETFE air pillow membranes boast advantages such as light weight, high light transmittance, and strong durability. They can not only effectively reduce building energy consumption but also provide sufficient and soft natural light for the interior, reducing the use of artificial lighting.

The project team of Zhejiang Wanhao has pioneered innovative technologies such as membrane-cable synchronous tensioning technology and membrane material graded tensioning technology. By using intelligent approaches like BIM 3D modeling, they have carried out refined design and verification on secondary steel structure installation nodes, PTFE membrane loads, structural steel cables, and PTFE membrane tensioning prestress control, achieving the task objectives with high dimension, high quality, and high standards.

ETFE membrane material has a service life of at least 25-35 years. After long-term on-site and laboratory tests, it is not affected by ultraviolet rays, air pollution or other forms of environmental weathering, and can maintain good performance. With the combination of ETFE membrane material and secondary steel structure, the building becomes more magnificent and beautiful. Similarly, PTFE membrane material is also a high-quality building membrane material. It is not affected by ultraviolet rays, air pollution, chemical corrosion and other factors, has a long service life, generally up to 20-30 years or more.

The main structure of Zhengzhou Zhongyuan High-speed Rail Port Digital Exhibition and Trade City is supported by multiple large-scale steel structures, which can bear huge loads.
