The total construction area of the T3 terminal building is about 95,000 square meters. The process is mainly steel structure roof truss. The steel structure hoisting construction is an important part of the construction of the T3 terminal. The entire steel structure is divided into 1,854 rolls, and the largest one weighs 30 tons. In order to ensure the rapid and efficient construction of the on-site steel structure hoisting construction, the project team installed 5 special steel structure tower cranes in the central area of the terminal building, as well as 13 truck cranes, 3 truck cranes, 1 platform crane, and super The 10,000-square-meter storage yard is used in conjunction with the on-site steel structure construction assembly, hoisting, and transfer. During the entire steel structure construction process, the number of on-site tower cranes exceeded 1,854 times.

The roof of the central area of the T3 terminal building is in the shape of a lotus, and the supporting point of the steel structure system is the hinged joint of the radial joint bearing. In order to facilitate on-site hoisting and flow construction, the project adopts high-altitude assembly and welding construction, and measures such as temporary maintenance of structural shelter and preheating before low temperature welding at night to ensure welding quality. From February 22 to April 15, under the premise of preventing and controlling the epidemic, the project team organized steel structure workers to arrive in Lhasa in batches. More than 200 workers took 4 months to complete the construction of 3708 high-altitude welding nodes, using 200 tons of welding materials, and the length of the welding wire can go around the earth's equator 1 circle.
