In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, a modern football stadium with a PTFE membrane structure is under construction. This dome stadium is not only a new venue for African football but also showcases the innovation of modern architectural technology, perfectly integrating building science with humanistic spirit. The PTFE membrane structure brings about significant changes in stadium construction due to its unique performance advantages.

PTFE membrane structures are a new type of architectural form that developed in the mid-20th century. They are based on high-strength, flexible PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film materials as the core, combined with support systems such as steel cables and space steel structures, to form stable spatial structures with certain rigidity through tensioning technology. This structural form not only breaks through the limitations of traditional architecture but also becomes a solution in modern architectural design due to its lightness, durability, and translucency.

The renovation construction of the football stadium is now in full swing, with Wanhao primarily undertaking the steel membrane structure canopy. The main body is a large-span, cantilevered space steel structure, with the main trusses cantilevering 45 meters and the horizontal connections arching upwards. The roof uses high-self-cleaning PTFE membrane, creating an open stadium interior with a clear view without obstructions, allowing the football dreams of the African people to soar high here.

In the subsequent construction, Wanhao will continue to overcome various difficulties and ensure the high-quality and efficient advancement of the project by scientifically organizing and reasonably arranging resources, delivering a fine project that satisfies the owner and general contractor. It is reported that after the completion of the Sports City, it will not only be used for event activities but also become the main venue for citizens' leisure, fitness entertainment, and various events.
