The Hangzhou International Sports Center is located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. It serves as a city landmark that combines events, performances, fitness facilities, and commercial activities. The football stadium was designed by Zaha Hadid’s firm, with inspiration drawn from the Liangzhu jade bi and the tea fields. The design blends the charm of the Jiangnan region with a futuristic aesthetic. This PTFE roof membrane structure project will boost regional development and become a public space that integrates culture, sports, and tourism.

In the selection of roofing materials for large sports venues, PTFE membranes have become the industry’s recognized “gold standard” due to their outstanding comprehensive properties. The project’s double-layer PTFE membrane structure achieves a groundbreaking integration of acoustic, thermal, mechanical, and optical properties: the outer layer provides sound insulation while the inner layer absorbs sound, significantly enhancing the acoustic environment inside the venue. The intermediate air layer substantially improves thermal insulation efficiency, reducing energy consumption. The layered architecture’s combined load-bearing capacity enhances the overall stability of the building as well as its resistance to wind and earthquakes. Additionally, the membrane’s dual-layer diffusive effect creates a soft, even natural lighting that boosts visual comfort and the quality of the space.

Significant progress has been made in the Hangzhou International Sports Center project. The steel roof structure truss of the venue has been successfully assembled, laying a crucial foundation for subsequent construction. This truss serves as the primary support framework for the roof’s membrane structure. Its precise installation provides a stable and reliable working platform for the subsequent installation of the membrane structure. This milestone marks a critical transition for the project from core construction to functional completion.
