PTFE Membrane Roofing for the Mandela National Stadium in Uganda

Mandela National Stadium is located in Kampala, Uganda's capital. It is the country's largest, most advanced national sports venue and a symbol of Sino-Ugandan friendship. The upgrade includes a new PTFE membrane roof, a key renovation part that overcomes open-air venue viewing challenges and meets international top-tier event standards. For Uganda's tropical savanna climate, it uses large cantilevered steel trusses and PTFE membranes, which deliver structural safety and balanced aesthetics and functionality. The durable PTFE membrane suits Uganda's hot, high-UV environment. Inspired by an eagle spreading its wings, the roof's circular graceful membrane surface combines modern stadium aesthetics and African culture. It will become an iconic part of Kampala's skyline after completion.
