The broadcast hall in the Barbados National Park in the Caribbean features a large-span ETFE cable-net dome designed in the shape of a flying fish; the diameter of this dome is 90 meters. The structure is based on a spatial truss design, with the flying-fish motif prominently featured at its center. Taking into account the severe hurricane conditions in the area, the roof is covered with ETFE membranes of two different colors and thicknesses. Sound-absorbing fabric membranes are installed inside the dome to effectively control echoes during use. LED screens are placed around the hall as well as in its center, and under the illumination of lights, along with music and dance performances and cultural activities, it becomes a new landmark and popular attraction in the Caribbean region. The project utilized over 3,200 tons of steel, with an ETFE membrane covering an area of more than
25,300 square meters.
