The Serbian National Football Stadium project is located in the southwest of Belgrade. The PTFE-coated surface covers an area of 40,000 square meters. The stadium is approximately 13.5 kilometers from the city center and 5.4 kilometers from the airport. It’s easily accessible due to its proximity to the A1 and A2 highways. The project is overseen by the Serbian government. With a total construction area of around 76,000 square meters, it can accommodate 52,000 spectators. It serves as a multifunctional sports venue for professional football matches, large-scale cultural events, and public fitness activities. After completion, it will become the home stadium for Serbia’s national men’s football team, hosting international competitions like Euro qualifying matches and European league games. It will also meet the needs of locals for sports, fitness, and entertainment, becoming a symbol of Belgrade and a key hub for the local sports industry. The design emphasizes a “garden-like” concept, blending Serbia’s natural landscape, cultural traditions with modern architectural techniques. This creates a unique “garden stadium” atmosphere. The stadium’s structure features four rings supported by steel cables, creating a striking visual effect. All three floors inside the stadium are covered with trees and shrubs, giving it a futuristic garden-like appearance. This design not only enhances the aesthetics and sustainability of the stadium but also provides fans with a comfortable and natural viewing experience.
