Wuxi Olympic Sports Industry Center ETFE Membrane Structure Project

The Wuxi Olympic Sports Industry Center project is located in the central area of Wuxi Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. It faces Taihu Lake directly and is adjacent to the “Gonghu Bay and Shangxian River” wetlands, enjoying a naturally exceptional location. The project covers an area of approximately 49,900 square meters, with a total construction area of 63,500 square meters.

The building utilizes a radial cable-membrane structure. The membrane structure consists of an ETFE air cell system on the inner roof surface, a PTFE membrane structure on the outer roof surface, and PTFE membrane elements on the facades. The ETFE air cells were designed and installed by Marriott Space Structure. The projected area of these ETFE air cells is around 20,000 square meters.
